I thought that I’d make a short entry about the recent facelift that I’ve made to the landing page, over on the main site.

Previously, it’d been a very basic HTML affair, there was no CSS or javascript. Just a simple “Under development” type of message and an auto forwarder after 30 seconds, which would take the user straight through to this blog. That’s changed now.

I went back to the drawing board and re-wrote the entire landing page using HTML5 and javascript. There are a few links to some CSS on there, too – but they are sheets provided by the hosting company. It’s not pretty, by a long shot, but it does what I want it to do… for now.

There are for <canvas> elements that are each populated with an image and act as a link to separate pages that I run (one for my GitHub account, one for small code gists, one for my Japanese blog and one for this blog).

That reminds me: I should get around to posting on my Japanese blog a lot more. After all, I was using it as a practise tool.

There’s even an Easter Egg. You’ll have to put in a, rather famous, code to unlock it though.

Here’s a handy-dandy link to the landing page: [LINK]. Give it a try and tell me what you think in the comments, below.

I’ll get around to posting an update within the next week, hopefully, as it’s been too long. In the mean time, be excellent to each other.
